Audrey T. Williams is an Oakland-based racial justice activist and an MFA Candidate in the Writing program at California College of the Arts. She is active in the AfroSurreal and AfroFuturist writing movements, and is working on her first speculative fiction project, as well as a memoir about her multi-racial, multi-cultural family life. Audrey is a child of the '80s who grew up in a military town watching sci-fi on the North Carolina coast with her African American father and South Asian, Catholic mother. Audrey has been deeply exploring her cultural and racial identity formation, focused on social dynamics post-Integration in America as well as post-Independence in Burma and India.
